Born in England, Betty moved to Canada with her family in her early youth. She spent her childhood in Alberta and moved to Manitoba in 1960. Suprowich has always enjoyed drawing. After raising a family, Betty began her painting career. She has skillfully painted landscapes and florals in both watercolour and acrylic.

Within the past few years, Suprowich has begun to experiment with her painting techniques, seeking innovative ways of using paint and colour. Her work has moved fromrepresentational to abstraction but she continues to be inspired by the Canadian landscape which surrounds her
