Born in England, Betty moved to Canada with her family when she was only 3 years old. She spent her childhood in Alberta, moving to Manitoba in 1960.
Betty always enjoyed drawing and only started to paint once her children were grown up. She has enjoyed painting mostly landscapes and florals in both watercolour and acrylics.
Recently Betty's work has taken an intersting departure from her traditional landscapes and florals. With lots of experimentation and play, looking for new and innovative ways of using paint and colour, her work has been moving in a more abstract direction.
