In 1982, Guy discovered painting by chance. He then diligently studied painting at the Atelier Raymond Lachance in Thetford Mines for a period of four years and later went on to study at the Moulin Des Arts in St-Etienne de Lauzon under the watchful eye of Marcel Rousseau. Guy's newfound passion is felt in his paintings: light, vibrant colors, contrasts and grand canvases characterize his style. He adds, "The stronger the contrasts, the more the light explodes. Through painting I discovered a form of expression that I can relate to."
Guy is primarily a landscape artist and enjoys painting on site in the Amiante and Charlevoix regions.
