Born in 1974, Kim comes from a family where liberty of expression and creativity were not only valued, but encouraged. Growing up with artistic parents, the magical moments Kim spent being creative with her family are unforgettable to her. Her love of music and the arts throughout her childhood and teen years certainly had an impact on the talent she developed as a young woman.

Kim worked in graphic design for several years but found her appetite for creation was never completely satisfied. So in 2001, Kim decided to take an oil-painting class with well-known artist M. Jean-Claude Laplante who immediately recognized her as a true budding artist with great potential.

Encouraged by her teacher, it didn’t take long for Kim to establish herself in the "visual-art" scene and gain gallery recognition in Quebec city. Painting became so important to her that in May 2007, she decided to quit her job and practice full time as a professional artist.

Kim’s style and approach are very much influenced by her childhood. Her work reflects harmony, serenity, peace and balance. Kim’s passion for life is apparent in her paintings and touches those who admire her work.
