We are very pleased to welcome local artist Marlene Cowell as our newest Gallery Artist. Marlene is an emerging professional artist. She works with acrylics on canvas, builds her own gallery wrapped stretchers and paints completely around the edges of each piece. Some pieces have a 3" depth so they also look fantastic displayed sitting on a mantle or a table.

Marlene has always enjoyed painting… on wood, glass, floor cloths, screens and furniture. A self-taught painter, Marlene has recently found her niche painting with acrylics on canvas.

A country girl at heart, Marlene’s paintings reflect her love of nature. Spending her Summers at her family cottage in the Interlake, she has endless opportunity to be creatively inspired by the beauty of the lake, trees, piers, pelicans and birds nests.
